Le 2016 restaurant is run by a French couple, Eric and Adele. The chef, Eric, is cooking a Traditional French cuisine using local products. Everything is homemade, seasonal and made with fresh products. We provide a small menu changing regularly (around every 6 weeks) following the seasons.
Adele will welcome you for a Lunch or a Dinner. She will offer you a large range of wines to match with your meal . You will be able to find all the famous wine area (Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone, Loire Valley). You can appreciate the Scottish best products as the lamb, the seafood, the fish in the service of the French cooking techniques. We always keep on the menu a cheese board providing 4 different French cheeses from different regions.
Eric and Adèle
Eric and Adèle studied 4 years in a catering school in France. They worked together in different gastronomic restaurants ( 1 and 2 Michelin stars ). They spent 1 year in Australia working in different places (Adele worked in Opera Sydney House and Eric in Aria restaurant in Sydney with Matt Moran). Finally they decided to set up in Scotland and they opened Le 2016 in December 2016.
In Septembre 2017 Eric is nominated to the Scottish Thistle Award as a “best rising star”.
